Contract / Policies

All items are the sole property of Traveling Lite and are not in any way affiliated with property management, caretakers, owners, etc., and are to be treated as such. Property management, caretakers, maintenance, owners, family members, etc., are not to be asked, hinted to, or be it insinuated to have items moved from lodging houses/condos/hotels, or cribs moved from room assembled. If these items are moved and/or damaged in any way, the total cost of replacement will be charged (no exceptions). You are responsible to know what is in the contract; likewise, be sure nannies, babysitters, family members, etc. are aware as you will be responsible for the rental items.

The customer is responsible for all items from time of delivery to time of pickup. The customer will be charged for the cost of any item damaged, missing, or requires multiple cleanings. This includes and is not limited to missing/damaged toys, damaged items, missing linens, multiple washing of linens, etc. All deliveries and installations are photo-graphed for reference to items picked up. It is expected that items are returned in a clean condition to avoid further charges.

Traveling Lite does not move rental items up and down spiral stairs / narrow stairs or areas deemed unsafe to maneuver items.

Payment, Cancellation & Refunds:  Credit card information is required to secure your reservation. Once a credit card is given and the confirmation issued, there is a $25 cancellation fee or one (1) night rental, whichever is greater. The order is non-refundable after delivery has occurred. There is a minimum order requirement. If it is discovered another rental company has been used without Traveling Lite’s knowledge, items will not be delivered or will be picked up when discovered; there will be no refunds issued.

Cribs: Cribs are full sized like at home and are assembled on site and do not fold; therefore, do not fit through door-ways. They are not to be moved to another room or disassembled. Please call to move a crib. Do not ask property management, maintenance, caretakers, owners, family members, anyone, or hint to, or insinuate to move it! Do NOT buy or borrow a tool to disassemble and move. If a crib is moved and/or damage in any way has incurred, guests WILL BE CHARGED $300 (no exceptions).

• Each crib rental includes a mattress pad, a fitted sheet, and four rail covers. There is a $25 charge for each unre-turned/damaged piece of bedding and rail cover.
• Stains from formula/milk/juice, lotions, etc. that do not wash out of bedding will be charged $20 each.
• A minimum space of 7 ft. long x 4.5 ft. wide is required to assemble a crib. If a crib is moved within the assigned room to a space that is not 7 ft. x 4.5 ft. it will not be picked up and there will be a $300 charge. If the space doesn’t not accommodate the crib/assembly, a pack n play will be substituted if available.
• There is a $25 fee to move a crib due to the 30 minute disassembly/reassembly once initially installed as instructed.
• If a crib is moved from the original room delivery location, $300 will be charged to your credit card.
• Scheduling conflicts may impact the ability to move the crib to another room on the same day of your arrival. The crib move will then be included on the following day’s delivery/pickup schedule.

PacknPlays:  Each includes a mattress pad and fitted sheet. There is a $25 charge for each piece of unreturned bedding.  Any stains from formula/milk/juice, lotions, etc. that do not wash out of bedding will be charged $25 each.  Please leave packnplay set up as it was delivered.  If renting an extra mattress, parents assume all responsibility.

Strollers:  Children are to be buckled into stroller; safety strap used; and brake in place when not in motion.  Please be sure all belongings are removed at the end of the rental period and left in a relatively clean condition to avoid further cleaning charges.  Lotions and sunscreens tend to bleach fabric.  Please wipe excess lotions and spills.  Remove fishing line, string, etc. tangles in the wheels to avoid possible damage to the wheels

Safety Gates:  Due to the nature of the business only pressure-mounted safety gates are supplied.  Per manufactures’ instructions they are not for use at the top of stairs; these gates are to be used between rooms and in hallways.  The number of gates requested will be delivered for your use as you choose.  The customer assumes all risk and liability if the customer chooses to install the gate against manufacturer’s direction.

Toys:  Traveling Lite is not responsible for damage to lodges due to the rental of toys or equipment.  Accurate records are kept of toys that are delivered.  If toys are damaged/missing, the replacement cost will be charged.  Do not play with toys in water.  Please gather up all the toys at the end of your stay.   (Toys are an order add-on:  $50 fee plus rental cost for each toy box ordered by itself.)

Delivery/Pickup:  Last minute / urgent deliveries and return / multiple delivery/pickup attempts will be charged $25. All items are delivered/setup in the accommodation prior to the arrival of the guest and may occur prior to the guests’ arrival date. Deliveries and pickups begin at 9:00am and must be available no later than the lodging’s standard check-out time. If rental items are not available for pickup, there will be an additional day charged for all items. Later pickups are not guaranteed due to availability of items and need to be approved 24 hours in advance.

Traveling Lite LLC shall have no liability for any failure to deliver equipment ordered, any delay in doing so, or for any damage or defect to equipment delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, weather conditions, or accident, etc.

By the way of ordering and paying for rental items from Traveling Lite LLC, the customer is agreeing to the following terms and understands that this release of liability covers each and every item that has been rented.

The Customer will use the equipment only for and in accordance with its intended use and pursuant to any instructions provided therewith.  Loss or damage to the equipment, reasonable wear and tear expected, is the responsibility of the Customer.  In no event will Traveling Lite be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury (including death) caused by or arising out of the use of any equipment provided by Traveling Lite, or the failure of the equipment to function as intended.  Full right, title and ownership of the equipment will at all times remain with Traveling Lite.  It is the Customer’s responsibility to examine the equipment prior to use to determine fitness and state of repair and to return the equipment in the same state of repair and cleanliness as when delivered.  If an item is broken beyond reasonable repair and cannot be rented, the customer will be charged for replacement of item with the same or equal value.

An understanding that there exist certain risks of injury from the use or misuse of such items, including the potential risk of serious injury, disability or death from the use of such items.  The customer knowingly and freely assumes all such risks, both known and unknown, and assumes full responsibility for use of such items.

Traveling Lite reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime
