It has come to my attention that a number of untruths are being told and need to be clarified.  I will attempt to address the concerns and questions you may have.  If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Where is Traveling Lite LLC located?  I heard that you are not conveniently located.

The Traveling Lite office is in my home.  I am not located in Ouray, CO, and have not been for quite some time, as is being conveyed by others.  The Ouray address that you many encounter is no longer correct.

No matter how far away I may or may not be, customer service is always a priority.  Driving in these parts of Colorado is a way of life.  What may seem to be a “trip” to some, may actually just be all in a day’s work or fun.

What type of cribs are provided?

The cribs provided are the ones you would purchase for use in your home.  They are wooden with a standard crib mattress.  This is part of making your child feel comfortable and enabling them to sleep as if they were at home.  They are not portable metal cribs, made to fold up, or with thinner mattresses such as the ones you may find in hotels or with our competition.

Each crib is set up at the beginning of each order to ensure that the crib is safe and crib linens are clean.

Can we move the crib to another room?

Please see policies regarding crib delivery and setup.  Doorways and hallways are not always wide enough to allow the crib to pass through without damage to the crib or doorways.    In this case, please call – I’m always happy to assist and really do not want to have to charge for damage.

What if something needs repaired or a stroller tire needs replaced?

Please call as soon as you need help.  Every attempt will be made to repair or replace the item as soon as possible.  Setting up the items prior to your arrival allows me to make sure the item is clean and safe for use.  In all the years of business, I have never had to replace a tire or repair an item after delivery.  If an item isn’t working for you, I’ll work together with you to resolve the situation.

FYI:  All stroller tires are checked for wear and tire pressure before delivery.  Tires are serviced at a local bicycle repair shop as needed.

Do you charge a delivery fee?

A delivery fee is not charged within the Telluride, Mt. Village, and Ridgway region.  Deliveries to out lying areas may incur a fee.

Your policies and the policies listed on Telluride Sitters’ web site appear to be the same.  Are you affiliated with each other?

No, Traveling Lite is not affiliated with Telluride Sitters.  Traveling Lite has been in business since 1996; Telluride Sitters have been in business since 2010.  It is unfortunate that Telluride Sitters has felt the need resort to unethical business practices in copying Traveling Lite’s business model, portions of the Traveling Lite copyrighted web site, rack cards, and engaging in negative talk about Traveling Lite.
